Song Trivia is a game framework, not a music host. We do not own, upload, download, redistribute, or store any audio file. Every track you hear during a game is streamed in real time via YouTube’s official, publicly-available IFrame embed player on the user’s own device. We are simply pointing at a song; YouTube is delivering it.
Track metadata (title, artist, album, cover art, year) is fetched from official APIs — the Spotify Web API for user-imported playlists and the YouTube Data API for matching playable references. All copyrighted text, audio, imagery, and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders, and inclusion here implies no endorsement.
Users may create or import playlists. By doing so, the user warrants that they have the right to reference the underlying tracks via public services. Song Trivia does not redistribute the user’s playlists publicly without explicit user action.
Rights holders may request removal of a specific track, cover image, or playlist entry at any time. Email us with: (a) the URL or track identifier, (b) the work allegedly infringed, (c) your relationship to the work, and (d) the action requested. Verified requests are acted on promptly — typically within 72 hours.
Players can also flag a broken song (audio failed to play), wrong metadata (incorrect title/artist), or an explicit track that should have been filtered. These reports help us clean the catalog for everyone.
